MetaQuotes Software, a trading software developer behind the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform, said on Friday its MetaTrader virtual hosting service is used by the clients of more than 190 brokers worldwide. Thousands of traders rent virtual copies of the two platforms.
In line with the software company’s strategy to actively develop its MetaTrader virtual hosting service, MetaQuotes has increased it virtual hosting data centers. They now total eight after the company opened its newest one in Moscow earlier this week. Now the company has such centers in London, New York, Dallaw, Moscow, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and Singapore. 
MetaQuotes launched the virtual hosting service in October 2014. It allows traders to create a virtual copy of the MT platform they use on a remote server. They will be able to keep the trading environment of the virtual platform the same as that of the original platform. Moreover, whenever traders make any changes to the trading environment by adding new charts, indicators, robots signals, or else, they can always migrate them to the virtual platform and use them there.
By using a virtual platform, traders are not dependent on the speed or reliability of their internet connection or worry about possible malfunctions of energy supply. This is especially helpful to investors who use robot and copy trading as the virtual hosting service minimizes network latency.
Traders can try the MetaTrader virtual hosting service for free for a period of 24 hours.
The MT4 and MT5 are two of the most widely-used trading platforms for forex and contracts for difference (CFDs). The MT5 also features functions for traders on the stock and futures markets. Both platforms are available as desktop and mobile applications, but MT4 is also available in a web-based version.
Users of the two platforms can download ready-made or create their own trading robots (Expert Advisors, or EAs), scripts and custom indicators in the MQL programming language. They feature advanced charting packages, trading and analysis tools, alerts, signals, and customizable indicators.
