FXCM (NYSE:FXCM), the largest forex broker in the US, has updated its proprietary Trading Station application for mobile devices, running on the Android or iOS operating system. The previous version was released over an year ago – in January 2015.
The sole novelty in the version 1.9.7 for both operating systems is the added support for CFD instrument decimalization. Trading in CFD’s, however, is available only in certain countries.
The FXCM Trading Staion app offers trading in forex, precious metals, commodities, indices, etc. The users of the application have access to live executable forex exchange rates for more than 50 currency pairs, interactive charts, chart indicators, streaming market news, economic calendar and depositing of funds.
The broker also offers free $50,000 (€50,000 or £50,000) forex & CFD demo accounts to investors who would like to try the mobile trading platform, risk-free. It is available through the Free Demo button on the log in screen of the app.
Users can also deposit funds via cards or an automated clearing house (ACH), run account reports for various time ranges and have quick and easy access to MyFXCM.
In April FXCM’s performance in terms of retail and institutional trading metrics were a mixed bag, while the overall performance in Q1 2016 remained relatively stable, in spite payments to Leucadia, to which the broker still owes $192.7 million.
FXCM is a registered futures commission merchant (FCM) and a retail foreign exchange dealer (RFED) with the US CFTC. It has units registered and regulated with the relevant authorities in the US, the UK, Australia, and France.
The broker offers forex, contracts for difference (CFDs), and spread betting services. It offers 40 currency pairs on the Trading Station and MetaTrader 4 (MT4) trading platforms.
