Indian broker Zerodha integrates ChartIQ HTML5 charts to Kite in-house platform

Zerodha, India’s first discount broker for stocks and forex, has partnered with ChartIQ, a leader in HTML5 financial charting for capital markets, to offer its clients access to HTML5 charts via its in-house trading platform Kite, ChartIQ said on Wednesday.

The integration will be executed through a Software Development Kit (SDK). Thanks to the partnership, Kite has access to five years of free historical data for all stocks through its integration with ChartIQ and advanced technical analysis charting that includes ninety-nine indicators.

Kite is a web-based platform available for desktop and mobile devices alike in ten different Indian languages. It features technical analysis indicators, drawing tools, and trading options with live streaming prices.

“The integration into Zerodha’s financial trading platform demonstrates ChartIQ’s unlimited customization options available through our charting solution, as well as the ability to deliver to millions of devices without any disruption in performance,” said Dan Schleifer, CEO and co-founder of ChartIQ. “This type of flexibility allows companies like Zerodha to scale a viable business quickly, and on their own terms,” he added.

Zerodha, set up in 2010, offers trading in various instruments, including  stocks, futures, options, currencies, and commodities. It services more than 140,000 clients across India, which generate an average daily trading volume of more than $2 billion.

In addition to Kite, Zerodha’s technology solutions offering includes trading platform Pi and intuitive reporting tools like Q and Quant. The broker also introduced recently a mutual fund platform.

ChartIQ is based in US’ Virginia and has offices in New York, London, and Cyprus. Its technology is used by more than 100 institutional and retail financial service providers, including brokerages, banks, financial portals, trading platforms, and individual traders. The company offers a full range of HTML5 charting and data visualization tools – from idea identification to opportunity analysis to trade execution. Its solutions allow clients to upgrade the trading technologies they use to professional-grade HTML5-based ones.

ChartIQ’s technologies are used both more than 125 clients, includiing forex brokers and forex platform developers.
