Canada’s regional regulator, the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), has published a warning about the owner of the offshore forex broker AlfaTrade – Nemesis Capital. According to the watchdog, the broker is not licensed to offer financial services in Ontario.

There are two separate warnings, as a matter of fact – one about Nemesis Capital Limited, based in the offshore zone Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and one about Nemesis Capital BG Limited, based in Bulgaria.

According to the broker’s website, the former is the owner and the latter is the payment service provider for AlfaTrade.

This is not the first time financial regulators warn about AlfaTrade this year. In the spring another Canadian provincial regulator – the British Columbia Securities Commission also warned that this broker is not licensed to provide financial services in the region. Bulgaria’s Financial Supervision Commission included Nemesis Capital BG in a list of unauthorized providers of financial services.
