TradeStation, part of the Japanese financial services provider and forex brokerage Monex Group, announced it is launching a program called TradeStation Salutes, which offers commission-free trading to all US military personnel on active duty and lowest per-trade commissions to the US military veterans.
Under the program the active-duty military will receive commission-free trading for stocks, ETFs and options, a waiver of all inactivity fees, plus free real-time data.
Inactivity fees will also be waived for US military veterans. TradeStation will otherwise charge them its lowest commissions per trade on stock and ETFs and $4.99 per trade plus $0.30 per contract on options.
Additionally, TradeStation will offer trader education program geared to military personnel, which is still under development. It will be taught by industry experts and will provide comprehensive educational overview of investment concepts and trading techniques for equities, options and futures.
The TradeStation Salutes program is available to all active-duty and retired U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. National Guard and U.S. Coast Guard personnel who open a new TradeStation brokerage account.
“TradeStation is proud to honor the sacrifice of those who defend the freedoms and liberty we as Americans often take for granted,” said John Bartleman, President of TradeStation Group, Inc. “Through this new program, active-duty and retired military personnel can take advantage of the great things TradeStation has to offer – our award-winning trading platform, charting capabilities, educational offerings and mobile and web applications – and enjoy significant cost savings as well. This is our way of recognizing and giving back to those who proudly serve.”
TradeStation Securities offers the TradeStation analysis and trading platform that provides electronic order execution. It enables clients to design, test, optimize, monitor and automate their own custom equities, options and futures trading strategies.
