Affiliate company, FairBinaryOptions recently issued a press release revealing their decision to stop promoting unregulated binary options brokers on their website www.fairbinaryoptions.com.
The decision is the outcome of a series of DDoS attacks on their website in early September, after an article was published on their site, warning traders about a potentially dangerous, unregulated broker.
The changes implemented throughout last month means that from now on, FairBinaryOptions will be solely focused on promoting regulated, licensed binary providers in a bid to contribute to the safeguarding of traders interests in the investment world. A key feature of unregulated brokers is their tendency to engage in unethical behavior towards their customers.
On the 5th September, FairBinaryOptions blacklisted a particular, binary options broker after faithful sources disclosed that this broker was withholding payment to their affiliates. This is usually a red flag indicating that the broker is suffering financial trouble and in these cases, it is common to turn to funds deposited by customers in order to safeguard the company’s interests. FairBinaryOptions chose to share this news with their readers, as did several other affiliate websites, since it was a matter of public interest.
The attacks happened soon after the article was uploaded, wreaking havoc on all FairBinaryoptions sites by bombarding it with so much traffic (around 20 billion requests) that it could not keep up and rendering it unavailable to users trying to reach it. While it was never confirmed whether this broker had something to do with the attacks, their convenient timing which coincided with the publishing of such an article, cannot be taken for granted.
FairBinaryOptions is a chain of 18 affiliate websites available in 15 languages. They provide a thorough overview of all things related to binary options; from a selection of the safest brokers to trade with, the ones you should steer clear from, to helpful tips and strategies for beginners and experienced traders alike. Moreover, their exceptional customer support team has helped thousands of traders across the world who were victims of unregulated, scam brokers. Their main objective is to promote fair and transparent business operations in the binary industry. Since the company’s inception in 2010, Fairbinaryoptions have exposed over 80 fraudulent binary brokers, who they list on their blacklisted pages.
