Trading software developer PFSOFT said on Wednesday it is releasing a Protrader Mac trading terminal, which enables the use of the Protrader multi-asset trading platform on devices with Mac OS X operating systems.
The terminal is available in beta testing, but is expected to be officially released in production version in the second quarter of 2017. Protrader for Mac will contain the same functionality as the platform for Windows desktop devices, including tools like MAM, Fund management and Option Master. It will provide access to various asset classes including forex, contracts for difference (CFDs), futures, equities, spread betting, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and bonds.
The platform will be included in the Protrader solutions package as corresponding to Windows desktop terminal.
“Our research shows that number of traders who use Mac is constantly growing but still, they were limited to use only compromise solutions like web and java applications or virtualization,” said Roman Nalivayko, global head of business development at PFSOFT. “So, with the new native application for Mac traders will not be limited anymore. At the same time, brokers that start offering it definitely will stand out of the crowd because nobody offers solution like this,” he added.
Recently, PFSOFT waived the $150,000 license fee for the platform. Brokers now only pay a flat monthly fee that would depend on Protrader’s components required by a client.
Protrader is a multi-asset trading platform with multi-broker connectivity, available to both retail and institutional traders. It is available in desktop, mobile, and web-based versions. The platform features a wide selection of tools for multi-asset trading. It is used by brokerages, white label and technology providers, local marketplaces, and now by funds and proprietary trading companies.
