It seems that shortly after the Canadian Securities Administration (CSA) announced its plans to explicitly prohibit advertising, offering, selling or otherwise trading of binary options to Canadians, the provincial regulators renewed the regular issuing of warnings against unauthorized binary options brokers.
For a second time this week the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) alerts the general public of an unregulated binary options broker soliciting residents of the province.
According to the regulator, recently a British Columbian has opened a trading account with the unauthorized binary options broker B4Option. The BCSC notes that the company is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or exchange contracts in British Columbia and urges investors to be cautious.
Our check revealed that B4Option’s website, as provided by the BCSC does not load. A whois check showed that the registrar of the site is a French company providing domain name registration and hosting and that the website registration expires on December 31, 2017. We could not find other information about the broker, except a warning from Spain’s CNMV from 2015.
