EU forex broker FXTM announced it is introducing cryptocurrency CFDs to its portfolio. The new instruments include the three of the most popular cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin, which can be traded against the USD.
More digital currencies will be added in the near future, FXTM said.
Trading of the new instruments is available through the same standard client account and with all deposit currencies.
FXTM is the latest forex broker to expand its offering with various instruments with cryptocurrencies. In the past few months the same was done by Alpari, Admiral Markets, AvaTrade, eToro, Grand Capital, Swissquote, etc.
FXTM offers trading in more than 100 instruments, including forex, spot metals, and CFDs on stocks, commodities, and exchange traded fund (ETFs). It serves retail and institutional clients alike and supports MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platforms.
FXTM is based in Cyprus and is regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), which allows it to provide its services in all EU countries. The broker also holds a license from the Financial Services Board (FSB) of South Africa. It has also set up a London-based unit, but it has provided no information at the time as to whether it plans to acquire a UK license.
