MetaQuotes Software, the developer of the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform, announced it has updated the MT5 mobile application for Android devices.
It now features built-in chat, which allows traders to chat among themselves straight from the platform. The chat is a relatively new addition, which first appeared to the desktop version of the MT5 platform.

Another new feature in the mobile MT5 app is the quick transfer of SSL security connection certificates from the desktop platform to a mobile device, available through the account context menu in the Navigator window. The advanced security connection transfer option was introduced to the desktop version of MT5 in May.

In addition to that, MetaQuotes has translated the MT5 mobile interface into two more languages – Dutch and Farsi, bringing the number of available languages to 24.
The MT5 mobile app for Android has between 500 000 and 1 000 000 downloads. It contains the majority of features available in the desktop version of the trading platform, such as full set of trade orders, including pending orders, detailed trading history and technical analysis tools, as well as hedging, which was introduced with an update in April.
Since the launch of the new MT5 in the spring, an increasing number of forex brokers have adopted it, among them Admiral Markets, IC Markets and Exness. FXTM updated it in end of July, while not long ago the automated forex broker RoboForex released data on MT5’s usage, showing it is gaining popularity.
