Under Legere’s in-your-face leadership, T-Mobile has been a disruptive force in the industry, doing away with restrictive contracts, removing hidden fees, and ribbing rivals AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint at every turn. T-Mobile US Inc reported lower-than-expected quarterly revenue and profit as the company’s initiatives such as lower price deals and increased data allotments to attract monthly users to its network hurt earnings.

Finally, T-Mobile gave an update on its network.

The mobile carrier added 2.3 million subscribers during the quarter, marking the 10 in a row in which it added more than 1 million subscribers. As it forecast last month, the third-largest USA carrier added 1.1 million postpaid users – more lucrative subscribers with higher credit quality that add multiple devices and use more data.

T-Mobile today shared its Q3 2015 numbers, and once again the magenta carrier has added customers. Revenue rose 7% to hit $7.8 billion. The company also reported $1.9 billion in adjusted EBITDA, up 42 percent from a year ago and a 30 percent adjusted EBITDA margin, flat from the second quarter and up from 24 percent a year ago.

Overall, T-Mobile reported a profit of $138 million, or 15 cents a share, up from a year-earlier loss of $94 million, or 12 cents a share. 245 markets are now covered with T-Mobile’s Wideband LTE service, with a target of 260 markets in place for year end. T-Mobile expects EPS to continue to be positive for the fourth quarter and the-full-year 2015. People are also staying with T-Mobile longer than before. The company covers nearly 175 million POPs with its Extended Range LTE service and is leading in average download speeds for the 7 quarter in a row. New market launches in the third quarter of 2015 included the cities of Los Angeles, Atlanta, Sacramento, Cincinnati and Indianapolis.

T-Mobile also delivered improvement in branded postpaid phone churn, which was 1.46%, down 18 basis points year-over-year. On a different note, The Company has disclosed insider buying and selling activities to the Securities Exchange, According to the information disclosed by the Securities and Exchange Commission in a Form 4 filing, the officer (EVP & CFO) of T-Mobile Us, Inc., Carter J Braxton Ii had sold 34,847 shares worth of $1,437,787 in a transaction dated September 15, 2015.
