Whatever it is, Ancel is an accomplished game designer, as proven with his new IP, Wild, and of course, his impressive track record, so we can expect big things. Wild puts players in the role of a tribal shaman, who explores a vast wilderness and is in tune with his surroundings.
During Sony’s presentation for the PlayStation 4 during its Paris Games Week 2015 press conference, the company provided coverage for a bevy of great-looking games featured on its next-gen system, including the PS4-exclusive called WiLD.
This is the first post-Rayman effort from creator Michel Ancel and his new development studio, Wild Sheep Studio. Perhaps the most gorgeous, and surprising part of the gameplay involves the actual snake divinity herself.
That other game that Ancel refers to- could it possibly be Beyond Good and Evil 2? In order to aid him in his travel, he’ll also be able to tame certain animals for quickly getting across the game’s expansive open world.
Although WiLD takes us to what’s now a trendy pre-historic setting (Far Cry: Primal, Horizon Zero Dawn), it’s the mechanics of the game that make this so special. As we get closer to a release date, hopefully we can see more of what the story is about.
