Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.

While we have to wait until 2017 for “Episode VIII” and the continuing adventures of Rey, Finn and Poe, there are still plenty of ways that the characters and concepts introduced in “Force Awakens” can keep a hold on our imaginations until then. “The Force Awakens” smashed the Christmas Day record with $49.three million within the US on Friday.

The film, which officially opened in U.S. theatres on December 18 and in some global markets on December 16, has generated box-office revenue of $US890.3 million worldwide through Christmas Day, Burbank, California-based Walt Disney Company said on Saturday in a statement.

Last weekend, the new Star Wars film took the opening weekend box office record away from Jurassic World with $247.9M.

It is set to hit the $1 billion mark no later than Sunday, its 12th day in theaters, according to industry research firm Rentrak.
