Software developer MetaQuotes said on Thursday it has issued an update to its mobile application for the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform for iOS devices, which allows it to run on iPad Pro tablets.
The developer has also enhanced the app with a portrait mode for iPad. The new feature allows users to browse through long lists of trading operations and to read mail and financial news more conveniently.
In addition, the MT5 iOS app is now available in Korean. The app could be used in more than 20 languages, including English, Arabic, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Russian, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
The updates were launched on 2 February, 2016.
The platform is available both as desktop and mobile applications. There is available also an app for mobile devices with Android operating system.
MT5 provides users with analytical and trading tools, technical and fundamental analysis, automated trading strategies (EAs), and custom indicators in the MQL programming language. It also has outstanding charting package, auto-trading capabilities and signal copying.
The MT5 platform is a successor of MetaTrader 4 (MT4). The two of them make the world’s most widely-used trading platforms. Unlike MT4, however, MT5 features functions for stock market traders.
The majority of forex brokers offer MetaQuotes’ trading platforms. Among those that provide the MT5 are FXTM, Exness, Fx Choice, Alpari, InstaForex, Weltrade, and Admiral Markets.
