Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.

Software developer MetaQuotes said on Friday it has launched an update to its Android mobile application for the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform, with which it has added for tablet devices an additional window with a more detailed display of information related to orders and deals. The window displays orders’ open and close time, broker commission fees, and comments.

The update allows customization of the news section for users with Android devices. Traders can sort the displayed news by select categories, view only the one they would find interesting and add news items to favorites. The software developer has made a few other additions to the Android MT5 mobile platform. It has increased to 512 the maximum number of analytical objects displayed simultaneously in a single chart, added a display of the Ask line corresponding to the last bar’s Ask price, and has added daily, weekly, and yearly period separators, which enable more vertical lines on a chart that correspond with the larger time-frame borders.

The MT5 is one of the most widely-used trading platforms for forex, contracts for difference (CFDs), options, futures, and equities trading instruments. It allows, through a single trading account, the execution of orders in several financial markets and stock exchanges. The platform is based on the MQL5 programming language and has options for automated trading strategies (Expert Advisors, EAs) and is available as an application for desktop and mobile devices.

MT5 features advanced charting package, trading and analysis tools, alerts, signals, and customizable indicators. The platform allows four types of order execution – Instant, Request, Market and Exchange.

MetaQuotes is also the developer of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) trading platform. Unlike it, however, the MT5 features functions for stock market traders.

MT5 trading is included in the offering of forex brokers WhoTrades, Exness, FXTM, IC Markets, RoboForex, Windsor Brokers, Admiral Markets, and etc.
