Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) said on Friday it has accredited equities brokerage Integrated Securities as a provider of direct market access (DMA) for global brokers.
With Integrated Securities, the number of DMA service providers has grown to 12. The DFM is in the process of examining other brokerages’ applications.
DMA-accredited brokers can mandate a global broker to use their DMA access points to place online buy and sell orders, thus providing it direct access to markets.
Integrated Securities is a securities brokerage dealing in equities on the DMF and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). It was established in 2001 and is part of Abu Dhabi Financial Group (ADFG), an Abu Dhabi-based multi billion investment group.
It became a licensed by the DFM in July 2004 and is a member of the DFM.
DFM is a financial marketplace for the Dubai region, which provides access to securities issued by public shareholding companies, bonds issued by federal or local governments, local public institutions and mutual funds as well as other local or foreign DFM approved financial instruments.
It was set up in 2000 as a public institution with an autonomous corporate body. It became the first regional exchange to go public after in 2008 it listed on Borse Dubai Ltd.
The DFM is governed and regulated by the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). It is 80%-owned by the Government of Dubai.
