The Malta-regulated forex and binary options broker FXDD Malta, has added the web version of the popular MetaTrader4 (MT4) platform – the MT4 WebTrader to its offering.
The web version’s interface is nearly identical to that of the desktop platform. Both web and desktop platforms offer a number of technical indicators, advanced charting package and one-click trading.
However unlike the MT4 desktop application, the web version of the platform does not require downloading and installation and is compatible both with PC and Mac. Of course this flexibility comes at a price – MT4 WebTrader doesn’t support auto-trading robots and custom indicators.
MT4 is one of the most popular electronic platforms for trading forex, CFDs and futures. It was developed by MetaQuotes Software and released in 2005.
The web version of MT4 was released in September 2015 and within the first month was included in the offering of more than 100 brokers, including Alpari (Russia), XM (Cyprus), FX Choice (Belize), UK’s One Financial Markets and Admiral Markets, and Australia’s IC Markets and DMM FX. The MT4 WebTrader runs across all web browsers and is compatible with all operating systems for computers and mobile devices.
Only recently MetaQuotes Software updated the MT4 web version by adding 30 features for technical analysis that have already been built into the desktop version.
FXDD Malta was set up in 2010 as a separate offshore entity of the FXDD, at the time US-regulated. It is regulated by the Maltese watchdog Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and holds a category 3 financial services license. Under the European Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) it can operate in all EU member states.
Its clients can trade in forex, CFDs, metals, oil, options and binary options. FXDD Malta offers a wide array of trading platforms: besides the aforementioned MT4, there are also MirrorTrader, Currenex, FXDD Options Trader and FXDD Spot Binary Trader.
