US automated forex broker Interactive Brokers (NASDAQ:IBKR), has added support for Apple Watch to its IB TWS mobile application for iOS devices. Investors can now view their trading account summaries directly on their smartwatches with the iOS operating system.
The broker issued on 7 March, 2016 an update to IB TWS app for both Android and iOS devices.
To the Apple app it has also added future calendar spreads that allow the creation of spreads on the go.
The Android app has been improved with a new interface, swipe-to-right functionality for access to the sidebar, and the display of complex multi-leg positions as a single unit.
The IB TWS trading app for forex, stocks, options, futures, and futures options allows standard orders and complex option spreads. It features real-time quotes, alerts and market scanners, in addition to advanced charts, order management tool BookTrader, SmartRouting technology for routing orders, and access to trade reports and account information.
The number of forex brokers with mobile apps for Apple Watch has been steadily increasing. The first forex trading app for Apple Watch, the FX Wrist Manager, was released in April 2015 by
forex trading network Integral Development. Other brokers with such apps include Swiss forex banks Swissquote Bank and Dukascopy, as well as UK-regulated forex brokers FxPro and IG Group.
Connecticut-based Interactive Brokers is a registered futures commission merchant and a broker-dealer in the US. It is regulated by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
