Nadex, one of the major US-regulated binary options exchanges, announced it has updated its mobile application for Apple devices.
The Nadex Binary Options application for iOS lets users trade in forex binaries of major currency pairs, stock index binaries based on global indices (DAX, Dow Jones, Nikkei, FTSE and Nasdaq), commodities binaries of energies, metals and agricultural products, major economic events and bitcoin binaries. The app provides real-time prices, customizable charts and technical indicators, watchlists, created by the users, demo accounts and deposit and withdrawal of funds.
The updated version of the mobile app offers the ability to set default order type in Profile and improved stability. It is available free of charge, for devices running iOS 7.0 or higher.
The Nadex (North American Derivatives Exchange) exchange is part of the IG Group Holdings plc (LON:IGG) and is regulated by the US watchdog, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). It was launched in 2004 as HedgeStreet and was the first regulated Internet-based event futures/derivatives exchange.
The US binary options market is tightly regulated and does not let offshore platforms to offer off-exchange binary options trade to retail US customers. By law, only CFTC-regulated US exchanges can do so. Usually the watchdog imposes harsh penalties on offshore brokers, breaking the rules. The most recent example is Banc de Binary, a binary options broker, regulated by Cyprus’ CySEC, which was fined $11 million for illegally targeting US citizens.
