RoboOption is a brand of Cyprus-regulated automated forex brokerage RoboForex. It provides a web-based self-branded trading platform for binary options on currency pairs, commodities, indexes, and shares.

In binary options, investors guess whether the price of a certain instrument, would go upwards or downwards within a pre-determined time frame. Once the time is up, the option is deemed expired and the bet is settled. Depending on the outcome, a trader either collects a profit, or loses money.

Since binary options are the closest thing to gambling in the online forex trading world, they are forbidden in some countries like the US and Israel. In Canada, there are no binary options brokers authorized by the relevant authorities.

RoboForex is registered in Cyprus and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). It is part of the RoboForex group, which also includes the holding company RoboForex Financial Group and its subsidiaries Belize-regulated RoboTrade Ltd, and New Zealand-based RoboForex LP.
