Institutional broker Tradition to release Elixium trading platform in May 2016

Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.

Institutional interdealer broker Tradition will launch in May 2016 the first stage of Elixium, a collateral trading platform, Reuters reported on Wednesday, citing an official company statement. Elixium will offer peer-to-peer trading of collateral for banks, institutional investors, brokers and hedge funds.

The platform roll over will start with a limited range of products to build up liquidity, but it will feature instruments, such as government and corporate bonds.

About 25 institutions have already completed the first stage of the required legal process to operate on the new platform. The majority of these are banks and fund managers.

Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Switzerland-based Compagnie Financiere Tradition, which is listed on the Swiss stock exchange. It is active on the over-the-counter (OTC) financial and non-financial global markets and its portfolio includes forex and commodities, such as derivatives, cash bonds, equities oil, natural gas, power, coal, precious metals, and properties. As an interdealer broker, it acts as an intermediary between major dealers and takes no positions or dealing risks in the financial markets. It receives a commission on each client transaction.
