Protrader Multi-Connect (PTMC), a trading platform for forex and contracts for difference (CFDs), said on Thursday it has released an updated version with many visual and functional enhancements. The platform now offers historic data for up to a year back in time with timeframes starting from 15 minutes.
According to the notice, the upgrades were made available from 24 June.
Previously, historic data was limited to periods of one to six months on very small timeframes.
In addition, PTMC has cleared some inaccuracies related to displaying data for LMAX Exchange and FXCM, two of the brokers that offer the PTMC platform, and have also introduced some visual updates. Following is more information about the visual enhancements added to the platform:
- bar by bar moving – bar by bar moving allow users to move a chart in one bar step
- drawing tools – allow the change of color settings for labels, in addition to lines
- volume profile – the point of control (POC) level can be extended to the price scale
- crosshair font color – every user can tune the crosshair display according to his workspace style
PTMC is a product of trading software developer PFSOFT, which is also the developer of the Protrader trading platform. It was released in January 2016. The platform is free and can be used by both institutional and retail traders and is available for desktop and mobile devices, as well as in a web-based version. It features a wide selection of tools for multi-asset trading, alerts watchlists, smart chart trading with multiple chart types, drawings and studies, as well as fully customizable interface.
Brokers that offer the PTMC platform are LMax Exchange, FXCM, Oanda, Protrader, and Sigma Trading, while others are yet to be added to the list, including Interactive Brokers, Dukascopy, FxPro Group, MB Trading, IC Markets, and Gain Capital, aka Forex.com.
