UK’s financial regulator, the FCA, has updated its warning list of unregulated entities operating in the UK by adding the binary options broker CTOption.
“This firm is not authorised by us and is targeting people in the UK. Based upon information we hold, we believe it is carrying on regulated activities which require authorisation,” notes the FCA and adds that the company is falsely claiming on its website and in its promotional materials to be regulated by it.
According to its website, CTOption is owned and managed by InfiniCore Ltd. St. Vincent and InfiniCore Ltd. England.
This is the second warning against CTOption this year, after Canada’s BCSC reported it was targeting Canadians without having the proper authorization and ranks it among the most warned against unregulated binary options brokers.
