UK forex broker Z.com Trade, part of Japan’s GMO Click group, reported the presence of websites that imitate its own website, but are in no way related to it. Such websites are fraudulently obtaining client information.

The broker operates exclusvely via the website www.trade.z.com/uk. The website is secured and https:// protected. Visitors can view the website’s security certificate by clicking on the green text next to the lock icon in the browser address bar.

The broker provides several guidelines how to prevent becoming a victim of phishing websites. One of them is to start from its website when engaging with it. Any other variations of Z.com Trade’s web address might be fraudulent and investors should refrain from entering their personal details.

The broker also noted that in some instances its website directs to outside webpages which are subdomain of its websits and are secure (for example the web address of Z.com Trade’s  Visa/MasterCard funding service is https://creditcard.uk.trade.z.com).
