UK FCA alerts of fake regulatory emails

Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) of the UK warned on Thursday that fake emails that appeared to be sent by the regulator have been circulating around the public.

The emails were sent from [email protected] and [email protected] (entitled “FCA Regulation 2017”), which are not managed by the FCA. Recipients of such emails should delete them without opening them.

The regulator did not disclose what information the fake emails contained and what threat they present to the public.

We advice you to be cautious and careful when providing personal and financial details.

The FCA is the supervisory and regulatory body in charge of the financial service firms and financial markets in the UK.
