In an attempt to further enhance the transition of most brokers and traders from the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) to the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platforms, software developer MetaQuotes has once again published a list with the latest brokers that have expanded their offering with the addition of the MT5.
Some of the notable brands that have migrated to MT5 include BCS Forex, InstaForex and LiteForex, while others, including Binary Limited, Benchmark Finance, and MIB700, have announced they will start offering the platform later in 2017.
In addition, the platform is also available with FXTM, FX Choice, Alpari, RoboForex, Alfa-Forex, Admiral Markets, OctaFX, FBS, ActivTrades, Just2Trade, NAS Broker, Halifax Investment Services, GLOBAL FX, Global Equity Brokers (GEB), Forexer Ltd., and many more.
After MetaQuotes expressed its intentions to stop issuing updates to the MT4 as it seeks to focus entirely on the MT5, the developer has been indeed revamping the MT5 almost exclusively. Interest in the platform increased significantly after it was added a hedging capability in late March 2016.
MT5 is a multi-asset trading platform that offers access to a number of markets, including those for forex, contracts for difference (CFDs), options and futures markets, as well as stocks. It has a pool of several liquidity providers – forex brokers LMax Exchange, Swissquote Bank, FastMatch, Alpari, Hotspot FX, FXCM Pro (theinstitutional arm of FXCM), as well as and forex software solution developers Integral and Currenex.
The platform uses MQL5 programming language and allow automated trading via Expert Advisors (EAs). It is available as an application for desktop and mobile devices and features advanced charting package, trading and analysis tools, alerts, signals, and customizable indicators.
