The UK unit of institutional multi-asset broker INTL FCStone (NASDAQ:INTL) has launched PMXecute+, a platform for physical gold trading, the broker said. This is the world’s first platform of its kind.
The newly-launched PMXecute+ is a web-based premium trading platform that provides around-the-clock access to physical gold. It connects consumers and global suppliers of gold. The platform is fully automated – from trade execution to post-trade processes.
“We developed PMXecute+ to become the physical platform of choice for the global bullion market,” said Barry Canham, global head of precious metals at the broker. “We are simply automating our interaction with our customers — improving market access and efficiency — through one platform, one unparalleled network and one trusted partner.”
Suppliers can anonymously create firm or indicative offers on PMXecute+. In addition, customers can request shipping. Tha platform has an option Request for Quote, which notifies suppliers when customers who do not see offers meeting their specific requirements (regarding quantity, specification or location).
INTL FCStone is principal to all transactions booked on the platform. Users deal with INTL FCStone and there is no need to set up and maintain a new account.
INTL FCStone has another proprietary electronic trading platform, PMXexecute, which can be used for trading on the forex and precious metal markets.
US-based INTL FCStone offers globally financial services, including trading in over-the-counter (OTC) forex, metals, and commodities, mainly base metals, precious metals, grains, and livestock. It also provides asset management, investment banking and capital-markets advisory services, and proprietary risk-management tools. Its clients include professional traders, brokers, banks, and other organizations.
