Russian fintech company MetaQuotes announced on Tuesday the addition of positions history to the Android version of the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform. The news comes slightly over a week after this feature was introduced to the iOS version of the platform.
Before Positions history was added, the mobile apps displayed only orders and deals in the trading history.
“All data on deals related to a position are grouped into one record containing position Open and Close time (determined by the first and last trades), volume, average weighted Open and Close price and, most importantly, the total financial result of trades,” the fintech said in a notice.
MT5 is the successor of MT4, which is the worlds’ most widely-used forex trading platform. It uses MQL5 programming language and allow automated trading via Expert Advisors (EAs). It is available as an application for desktop and mobile devices and features advanced charting package, trading and analysis tools, alerts, signals, and customizable indicators. The platform allows four types of order execution – Instant, Request, Market and Exchange.
MT5 has been increasingly gaining momentum as the number of forex brokers and traders using it has been growing.
