MetaQuotes Software, the developer of the popular MetaTrader multiasset trading platforms, announced it has launched an economic calendar on MQL5.com platform.
The new tool will provide useful information about macroeconomic events and is based on real-time data collected from public sources. The calendar can be used as a fundamental market analysis tool and currently features economic news from the US, Japan and the EU.
The new calendar provides an online chronology in which events are marked in accordance with their significance – the most important ones with a red label. The events can be filtered by importance, country and time intervals. The calendar will be updated automatically during announcements in real time.
The relevant information is delivered without delays and regardless of the broker they use.
MetaQuotes said it is intending to launch the new calendar on the MetaTrader 5 platform, too, replacing the existing one. Thus traders will be getting up-to-date indicator values immediately after their release. The calendar will be accessible for MQL5 robots and the strategy tester as well.
MetaQuotes Software was established in 2000 in Russia, but was later moved and is now based in Cyprus. It has a license from the local financial regulator, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). It offers the most popular forex trading platform – MetaTrader – currently in versions 4 and 5. Additionally, the company offers supporting infrastructure and software. It is considered a leading provider of software solutions for brokerages, banks and exchanges.
