Big Boost Casino review (2023)

Big Boost Casino review (2023)

Don't gamble with money you cannot afford to lose

Big Boost does not make a big first impression. It is not one of the online casinos which use crazy mascots or a certain theme to stand out. Instead, it opts for a relaxing dark background for its website, where all the information one would need about the house is laid out. We quite like this approach, and were able to easily discover that this is a licensed entity, with a good roster of games. The payment methods it accepts are quite varied, which means you have a good amount of choice when it comes to what you’d like to use.

Still, there are some things about the casino which we wish it did better. For instance, we would have liked to see it offer more bonuses to players. Instead, there is just one available. Also, we would have liked for more information to be available about the withdrawal policies of Big Boost, as they are currently not described in sufficient detail in our view.

So, should you make an account at this brand new casino? Well, there is a lot to cover about both the upsides and the downsides of Big Boost, when it comes to its promotions, regulation. payment methods and, of course, its games. The review below will do just that, so check it out in order to learn everything you need to know about them:

Bonuses

As we mentioned, Big Boost has only one bonus to offer, and that is the Welcome promotion. It also takes part in several events, run by some of the game suppliers the casino partners with, though. Here is a table which will outline their conditions:

BonusMin depositMax bonusWagering requirementsCash out limit
Welcome bonus$20100% up to $500 + 100 Free Spins35xNone
Tournaments$35 0000xNone

We find it quite disappointing that there is just one promotion by the casino, which is one-time only. One of the best ways for houses to stand out from each other is for them to have a big roster of bonuses. That is great for players too, who feel rewarded every time they cash in. The way things are, Big Boost has a great opportunity to implement bonuses, which it has not taken. But either way, its Welcome Bonus is actually not bad at all. Let’s take a closer look:

  • The promotion has a minimum deposit requirement of $20, which is in line with what the majority of casinos have in place too.
  • As for what you can receive if you make said deposit, it adds 100% of the funds you’ve cashed in, up to $500 as bonus money. There is a very high amount of Free Spins too – 500 of them, for the legendary Book of Dead game.
  • In order to withdraw these funds and the winnings from the Spins, you need to clear a 35x wagering requirement. Wagering requirements are an inseparable part of any casino bonus nowadays and simply indicate how many times you need to bet the funds you receive from the promotion. When it comes to similar welcome deposit incentives, Big Boost is in line with what the majority of casinos require – for funds from them to be wagered 30x to 40x on average.
  • There is no cash out limit with the bonus. This means you don’t have a restriction on how much you can profit from it. However, we should note that you cannot use the money from this promotion forever. It has a seven day expiration rate, so you have a week to play with it.

Aside Big Boost’s bonus, there are several Tournaments that it offers access to. These are events hosted by the game suppliers it partners with, as we mentioned. The rules of them are quite simple. If you play a slot which the supplier has listed as participating in the incentive, you have a chance to win a pretty big prize. The winners are determined either randomly or by the amount of cash they have bet on the slots and how much they have won.

To give an example, the Drops and Wins Tournament, by Pragmatic Play, picks a random player each day and hands them a prize of $35 000. The total reward pool for the event is staggering -Pragmatic has said it will give out $2 million during each month it runs.

The other way winners are determined, by their participation in the Tournament can be seen in another competition Big Boost offers access to. This is called Into the Universe, and is run by Spinomenal. The more you play and win, the higher you will climb in the event’s leaderboard. The top prize is $2000, from a pool of $200 000, so there are plenty of second and third place rewards too.

The advantage of these tournaments is that, since they are not operated by the casino itself, the money you can receive in them is not going to have any wagering requirements on it. You would be able to simply withdraw it instead.

License

One of the best aspects about this casino is its regulation. Let’s take a look at what it has to say about it:

Regulation is among the most crucial details we look for in new casinos. And Big Boost states in the bottom most paragraph in the previous screenshot that it has a license from the Antillephone, which is one of the four regulatory bodies in Curacao. Curacao is a small Caribbean nation, which is one of the most popular places for casinos to obtain licenses these days. In fact, we’d say the majority of regulated houses we cover are run from there.

However, before we explain why that is, we feel like we should verify the fact that the house is actually licensed as it claims to be. That can be done quite easily. If you return to the screenshot above, there is an orange logo at the very top. This is Antillephone’s Digital Seal. Every entity it has regulated is required to implement such a seal on their website. It can be clicked on, which will then bring up the following page:

What you see is an excerpt from the register of the license issue, which certifies that White Star B.V. is an authorized casino operator. It also certifies that the domain of Big Boost is actually owned by said operator, which means there can be no doubt about this casino’s regulatory status.

So what does that mean for you as a player? Well, regulation is how you can be sure certain protections and guarantees are in place for the house you are playing with. Here is what some of them are:

  • As part of processing your payments, casinos need to comply with a series of AML and KYC policies, which help combat financial crime. This means they collect a lot of personal information about you, though. The information can include your address, pictures of your ID, as well as all manner of details about the payment methods you use. Therefore, it needs to be protected. That is why the majority of regulatory bodies these days have certain rules in place, regarding what encryption protocols the casinos need to use when handling said data. With these strict measures, hackers obtaining it, or it leaking are very rare events.
  • There is also a focus on the mental well-being of players which you will find only with licensed casinos. They need to offer you several self-exclusion options. For instance, these include custom deposit limits you can set, a series of time-out warnings to opt in to and even the ability to close your account if you need it. Besides that, casinos offer a wealth of useful resources, and all of these great measures are a way for them to try and curb problem gambling.
  • Thirdly, the games themselves are held to a pretty high regulatory standard – at least when licensed casinos are considered! Each slot has an RTP rating, which shows what percentage of your money you can expect to keep, on average, when playing with the house. The slots are then audited, so that independent professionals can certify whether the assigned rating matches reality or whether it does not.

We generally recommend only playing with licensed casinos, and the protections above are just some of the reasons why. Back to Big Boost, though, here are lists of the languages it has available and the jurisdictions where it does not operate from:

Languages: English

Restricted countries: United States, Netherlands, France, Dutch West Indies, Curaçao;

We find it slightly underwhelming that the house has so few regional restrictions, but only English as an available language.

Deposit and Withdrawal

The means of payment, accepted by this casino are pretty varied. There is a choice between cashing in via credit card, e-wallet, e-voucher, bank transfers or even crypto. We welcome such a wide variety of deposit methods, because some of them are not available everywhere. For instance, UK players are not going to be able to deposit with credit cards. That is why it is important for casinos to have other, alternative means of payment they accept. Either way, a full list of the deposit methods and the accepted currencies with the casino can be found below:

Currencies: Euro (EUR), US Dollar (USD);

There is no information on how much you need to cash in at least. But minimum deposits are usually just around $10-$20, and we don’t expect them to be higher than that here. Secondly, there are no fees by Big Boost, which is great, and what we generally expect from houses these days. However, third party charges will need to be covered by the player. Such fees will be especially notable when it comes to bank transfers and crypto payments. Once again, this is also to be expected from casinos these days.

Let’s take a look at the withdrawal conditions too:

The same means of payment are available, which is great. We have no idea what the minimum withdrawal amount is, but we usually find these to be around $20 once again. What’s more, the maximum you can cash out is $5000 per week. That is pretty competitive with other casinos. Note that in order to file a withdrawal request, you need to have turned the money you’ve deposited to the casino over at least once. That is another aspect of the AML policies we mentioned, and nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to online gambling.

What we don’t like about the policy is that there’s no mention of how long Big Boost takes to process withdrawal requests. Since this is a very individual process for every casino, we wouldn’t want to speculate. However, we hope that it takes less than three days for them to clear, because most casinos need even less than that.

There is no fee for withdrawals either, which is great. However, what we said before about third party charges still applies. Also, what we said about them being notable with crypto and wire transfers in particular should be kept in mind.

Speaking of fees, there is an inactivity fee with Big Boost:

It is very common for casinos to have such charges. What’s more, they are pretty small, so Big Boost is pretty player-friendly with its dormant account policy.

Games and Game Suppliers

There are a good amount of Game suppliers with Big Boost. In general, we expect to see at least 50 of them, but this house has a bit of a smaller number of them available. However, the ones we did find listed on its website included some of the industry leaders when it comes to casino software development. Here is who they are:

Game providers: Blueprint, Booming Games, Caleta, Evolution, Ezugi, Gamomat, Golden Hero, Habanero, OneTouch, Oryx, Playson, PragmaticPlay, Push Gaming, Quickspin, Red Tiger Gaming, Relax Gaming, Spade Gaming, Thunderkick, Booongo, 1x2gaming, Iron Dog Studio, NetEnt, Nolimit City, Triple Edge Solution, Microgaming, Red Rake, Rabat, Gameburger Studios, Play’n GO, Big Time Gaming, Felt Gaming, Fantasma, Stakelogic, Super Spade, Wazdan, GameArt, Tom Horn, Fugaso, ELK, Yggdrasil, Spinomenal, Evoplay, Mr Slotty, Betsoft, Just For The Win, Other;

We are happy with these suppliers, and believe they can offer the player countless hours of fun. As for the games themselves, the catalog of Big Boost is split into two major categories:

  • Slots: Here you can find different types of slot games. You can filter out games by their mechanics, for instance, you can choose to browse only Megaways games, ones with Feature Buy and so on. We also like that there are filters based on the newest and most popular games with the casino, too. The only thing missing, which would ease navigating the thousands of slots is a way to filter them out by their themes, like Fruits, Egypt, Luck, Fishing and so on. Curiously, you cannot filter the games by their Suppliers either. The games themselves include player favorites like Gates of Olympus, Big Bass Bonanza, Book of Dead, Wolf’s Gold, Starburst and so much more.
  • Live Casino: Here you will find two major types of games. There are live dealer versions of casino classics like Baccarat, Poker, Blackjack, Roulettes. No virtual dealer table games are available, other than those. However, the live dealer rooms are available in a variety of languages and rulesets, which we find to be great. There are also tons of  Game Shows: Crazy Time, Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt, Crazy Coin Flip and Sweet Bonanza Candyland, to list a few. We appreciate the wide catalog of these shows.

Conclusion

Big Boost is a pretty good casino by itself, but we couldn’t really say it is the best of the best. There are houses out there with much greater game catalogs, with categories of games which this one is missing entirely. There are no Crash games, for instance, which are very popular due to their high-stakes gameplay and simple rule set. But even more basic games like virtual dealer table games are absent. There are no casual games like Keno, or ones which let you buy and use virtual scratch tickets.

Secondly, there are house with much better bonuses, and ones that are more transparent about how long withdrawals take. But what Big Boost does offer is a safe experience, because it is licensed. It also has the advantage of having flexible and convenient payment methods, and so, we believe if you are just looking for a simple casino to relax and play with, without wagering too much, this might be the place for you.
