MetaQuotes Software is obviously keeping its app developer team rather busy with regular updates for its trading platforms MetaTrader 4 and 5. While focusing its attention on significant updates to the MT5 platform – finally adding the hedging option to its desktop, Android and iOS mobile and web versions, the company has not forgotten MT4 – its most popular product – either and announced an Android update.

MetaTrader 4 Android build 952 features several new additions, such as a pop-up window with detailed information on deals, open and close time, browsing through comments to positions and finding the broker commission in a single tap. The developers have also added the red line corresponding to the last bar’s asking price and improved news management. Now users can select and read the news they find useful and add them to favorites. Another improvement is the option to save all changes to the analytical object settings after closing the application.

MT4 for Android is among the most popular trading platforms and is used by hundreds of brokers. It has the functionality of the “regular” MT4 platform. Trading can be done in a regular manner with full set of trade orders and all types of trade execution, including pending orders. The app also offers real-time quotes, trade orders, trading history, charts, technical indicators, analytical objects, fast switch between financial instruments on charts, sound notifications, free financial news, chat with registered users and support for push notifications from the desktop MT4 version and the MQL5.community services.

MT4 is used by many forex brokers, but among the major ones are Oanda, FXCM, Gain Capital, FXTM, Alpari, etc. Some of them also offer their own proprietary trading apps.
