Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.
Pegase Capital, a company providing trading in forex and binary options via the websites www.interactiveoption.com, www.interactive-option.com, www.hellobrokers.com, www.mtxplus.com, www.pegasecapital.com, has renounced its license, said the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).
This happened on May 13, 2016 and henceforth the Cyprus financial services license with Νumber 225/14 is no longer valid. The latest development comes almost three months after in the end of February the CySEC suspended Pegase Capital’s license for failing to meet all authorization requirements and risking its own operation and its clients’ interests. The company was banned from performing investment activities and offering advice while the suspension was active, but in the meantime two other regulations issued a warning against it.
First was Canada’s British Columbia Securities Commission, which warned that Pegase Capital is not registered to trade in or advise on securities or exchange contracts in British Columbia. Later in April Russia’s commission for the regulation of relations on financial markets KROUFR blacklisted it for treating its clients incorrectly.
Now the company has three months to settle its obligations arising from the investment services that lapsed and must remove from its websites references regarding authorization and supervision.
In mid-October 2015, the CySEC fined Pegase Capital €300,000, consisting of about a dozen small fines, for not complying with the laws related to the licensing and operation of investment companies and the regulations for prevention of money laundering.
Pegase Capital, set up in 2013, is licensed by the CySEC only. It provides investment services, focusing on online trading in forex and binary options, as well as contracts for difference (CFDs) on forex and binary options. It operates under the brands Interactive Option and HelloBrokers for binary options activities and MTXPlus for its forex business.
