TradingView temporarily stops real-time feed for SUI20, ITA40 indices

Do not invest more money than you can afford to lose.

The financial charting tool and trading platform TradingView announced it is temporarily stopping the real-time feed for the SUI20 and ITA40 indices on its platform.

The reason is that since June 17 the Swiss and the Italian index are no longer traded by the provider of the data FXCM.

TradingView said in its blog that it is currently working on connecting to an alternative data for these indices.

This is not the first time FXCM has caused disruptions in TradingView’s services and its trading platform – in April the company told its clients that the broker’s API is causing disruptions and loss of data, particularly in times of increased market activity. Back then TradingView advised its clients to use alternatively use forex and CFD data from the Interactive Data Corporation (IDC) – a provider of financial market data, analytics and related solutions.

The data hiccups however did not stop TradingView to announce it is launching direct trading in forex and CFDs through various brokers, straight from the chart. Ironically, the first broker to be included was indeed FXCM, which is still the largest forex broker in terms of trading volumes in the US.

TradingView is one of the major providers of charting tools and real-time market data. It offers a wide array of features, drawing tools, technical indicators, technical analysis tools, etc. It also provides a trading platform, used by more than 1 million active traders who use the social trading tools to share and discuss ideas and strategies. TradingView offers charting widgets for embedding free real-time quoting and charts, free charting library, front-end trading terminal and publishing and social tools.
