MetaQuotes Software, the company behind the popular trading platforms MetaTrader 4 and 5, announced it has updated the web version of MetaTrader 5 (MT5) to a fully fledged final version.

The major new feature, which was not present in the earlier beta version, is the depth of market. It allows setting market and pending orders to buy and sell stocks, currencies, futures and CFDs in a single click. Like the previous web versions, the new one also runs on any modern browser and operating system.

The MT5 web version combines the advantages of a desktop version of the terminal, such as high speed, support for multiple markets and expanded trading functions with the convenience to be able to trade from any platform and browser. Much like the desktop version, the web version features technical analysis and trading operations, without the need of installing additional software.

The new MT5 web version features the netting and hedging systems, which were introduced to the MT5 this spring, 31 technical indicators, 23 analytical objects, one-click-trading and the entire set of trading orders. It is available in 41 languages.

“We currently see the explosive growth in the popularity of desktop MetaTrader 5 with support for hedging”, says Renat Fatkhullin, CEO of MetaQuotes Software Corp. “We expect the web version of the product to spark similar excitement, since it is an excellent opportunity for traders to try the most advanced platform on the market by simply opening a new browser tab”.

Since the launch of the new MT5 in the spring, an increasing number of forex brokers have adopted it. Most recently the automated forex broker RoboForex released data on MT5’s usage, showing it is gaining popularity.

Earlier this week the developer of the MetaTrader platforms – MetaQuotes – bragged that since the launch of the MT5 with hedging, the platform is quickly gaining popularity both among traders and among brokers. It is also very popular in Pakistan. Besides the desktop trading application, and the web version MetaQuotes has been updating the mobile applications for Android, support for certificate transferring between desktop and mobile devices and revamped the website.
