Crowdcube, one of the largest equity crowdfunding sites in the UK, announced it has released a mobile application for Apple devices running iOS 9.2 or later.
It provides access to investment opportunities on the go and they are synced to the app and accessed offline. The application also integrates the online payment system Apple Pay. It can send notifications to investors when new investment opportunities launch.
Crowdcube plans to develop the app further and offer complete investor experience, including access to discussions and portfolio, while also offering the same experience on non-iOS devices. Investors can also continue to access all aspects of Crowdcube on any mobile device using the website.
The application was actually launched on September 28 and has already garnered several user comments. They are generally positive. One user, however, warns that any card issuers limit Apple Pay to £100 in the UK and amounts above that can be rejected automatically.
Crowdcube is one of the major equity crowdfunding platforms in the UK. It has helped start-up, early stage and growth businesses raise more than £182 million through equity and debt investment options. The website has nearly 300,000 registered investors. It is used by entrepreneurs to raise funding from their own network of friends, family, customers and from strangers.
