Russian-focused Alpari has become the latest forex broker to join the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading platform as liquidity provider, MetaQuotes Software Corp. , the platform developer, said on Monday. Liquidity from Alpari is now available to MT5 institutional clients.
As a result, MT5’s pool of liquidity providers has grown to include forex brokers LMax Exchange,Swissquote Bank, FastMatch, Hotspot FX, FXCM Pro (theinstitutional arm of FXCM) and Alpari, as well as and forex software solution developers Integral and Currenex.
“Alpari and MetaQuotes Software Corp. have long been in partnership, as part of which Alpari was the first broker in the world to introduce to their clients the updated MetaTrader 5 platform with the hedging option,” said Alexander Novodvorsky, COO of Alpari. “It is a logical development that Alpari has become one of the first liquidity providers integrated into MetaTrader 5. We believe that today, MetaTrader 5 is one of the most advanced trading platforms offering a highly technological trading system structure,” he noted.
Alpari offers quotes for 44 currency pairs and 2 spot metals, including XAG/USD and XAU/USD. It provides instant execution of trading operations, unlimited liquidity, and an individual approach to trading conditions.

Russia-based MetaQuotes is also the developer of the MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platform. Both the MT4 and MT5 are the most widely-used trading platforms for forex, contracts for difference (CFDs), options and futures. The MT5 also has a function for stock trading. The platforms allow automated trading, using Expert Advisors (EAs) and are available for desktop and mobile devices and via the web.
Alpari is headquartered in Russia and has units regulated in Belize and registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Belarus. It is focused on Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), or the former Soviet countries. The broker was ranked as the largest forex broker by average monthly retail deposits and clients in 2015 by Interfax-Center for Economic Analysis (Interfax-CEA).
