MetaQuotes Software, the developer of the popular trading platforms MetaTrader 4 and 5, has announced several updates and improvements to its products.
A month after the launch of the new economic calendar for fundamental analysis on the MQL5 platform, MetaQuotes has launched a widget that allows adding the calender to a website or blog. It is available as an embeddable code that can be incorporated into the brokers’ sites or blogs.
Currently the calendar features economic news from the US, Japan and the EU, while news from the UK will be added soon.
In a separate announcement, MetaQuotes said it has updated the MT5 mobile application for iPhones and iPads. The new build provides the possibility to easily open preliminary brokerage accounts straight from the mobile device. The eased procedure allows clients to fill in a simple form with personal details and attaching ID documents.
Additionally, MetaQuotes has redesigned the email section of the mobile app. Now related emails are combined into threads and appear as one item. There is also the option to preview email attachments and send up to five attachments.
MetaQuotes Software was established in 2000 in Russia, but was later moved and is now based in Cyprus. It has a license from the local financial regulator, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC). It offers the most popular forex trading platform – MetaTrader – currently in versions 4 and 5. Additionally, the company offers supporting infrastructure and software. It is considered a leading provider of software solutions for brokerages, banks and exchanges.
