As lately MetaTrader 5 is gaining popularity both among brokers and traders, MetaQuotes keeps updating the software and developing new features. The latest MT5 enhancement is a tool that enables users to view the real-time list of all exchange transactions, called Time & Sales.
The Time & Sales feature is located in the Market Depth window and provides exhaustive trading information on each transaction, including records on time, price, direction and volume. Trade volumes are displayed as a histogram, with a color coding of different trade directions.
Time & Sales option provides a detailed view of trading activity on various price levels and may be indicative of current market sentiment. If, for example, buyers of a certain instrument activate, this suggests upcoming rise in security prices.
MT5 is among the most popular trading platforms, along with MetaQuotes’ MetaTrader 4 platform. Recently it has undergone several major upgrades and finally features the hedging option. Since then several of the forex brokers, offering MT5, such as Alpari and RoboForex, updated their terminals to also offer hedging and noted significant growth on the number of new trading accounts. What is more, due to the increased number of technical support requests from traders, MetaQuotes has prepared a series of MetaTrader 5 video guides for both brokers and their technical support teams.
Besides, MetaQuotes has updated the web version of MetaTrader 5 earlier this month, which now features setting orders in a single click.
